Woman Found a Dead Rodent Sewn Into Her Dress From ZARA
This is disgusting and quite disturbing. Cailey Fiesel, 24, of Midtown allegedly found a dead rodent sewn into the hem of a black dress she bought from the retailer’s Greenwich, Conn., store. And she said that she only discovered the rodent when it started to stink and also she felt the animal’s paw poking her in the leg, according to a new lawsuit.
According to her lawsuit against the fast-fashion retailer Zara, she noticed a “disturbingly pungent odor,” on the dress, but didn’t discover the cause of this odor until later in the day. “As the day went on, Fiesel started to notice what felt like a loose string from her dress rubbing against her leg”. When she checked it out she discovered a “loose string”. “To her utter shock and disbelief, as she ran her hand over the hem of the dress, she felt an unusual bulge and suddenly realized that it was not a string that was rubbing against her leg but was instead a leg rubbing against her leg,” as stated in the court papers. In the lawsuit it also said that she immediately ran to the bathroom and discovered the source of discomfort was allegedly a dead rodent. She is suing for unspecified damages.
Zara USA issued a statement regarding the lawsuit “Zara USA is aware of the suit, and we are investigating the matter further. Zara USA has stringent health and safety standards, and we are committed to ensuring that all of our products meet these rigorous requirements.”
