5 bodies found in search for Italian fashion CEO Vittorio Missoni
CARACAS, Venezuela — Associated Press reports that the Authorities of Venezuela said that their navy divers have recovered 5 bodies from the crashed small plane wreckage in the Caribbean last January. The small plane was carrying the CEO of the Italian fashion house Missoni and five other people.
Luisa Ortega the attorney general said on Monday that it would take more or less a month to positively identify the bodies that were recovered between october 12 and 19.
The wreckage was located on June 27 I near the Los Roques islands, it was nearly 300 feet under the sea.
Vittorio Missoni 58, was with his wife, two Italian friends and two Venezuelan crew on board the plane.
Missoni was an Italian fashion designer and CEO of Missoni, the fashion house founded by his parents in 1953. Missoni is credited with expanding Missoni into a global brand after his parents handed control to him and his two siblings, Angela and Luca, in 1996.
